Anne’s 18th birthday started a little differently than most. Before the main celebration, we met at Vybe Studio for a short portrait session. It was still early in the day, and like many debutantes, she was a bit stiff at first in front of the camera. But after a few guided poses, light adjustments, and small conversations, she gradually loosened up—and the portraits started to reflect her personality.

By mid-afternoon, we moved to Pepe n Mary’s in Lucban for the main event. The place was warmly lit with tungsten bulbs, giving off a cozy, golden vibe. To keep skin tones natural and consistent, I used a CTO gel on my flash and dialed in a manual white balance at around 4200K. It helped balance the ambient light with the flash, keeping every moment true-to-color without losing that warm, celebratory mood.

From solo portraits to program highlights and group shots, Anne’s debut was calm, beautiful, and light-filled in all the right ways.
