Harriet’s 7th birthday celebration at Sage Hall was filled with energy, laughter, and color—literally. The venue had dark ambient lighting and strong pink tones from the DJ setup, which made it a fun challenge to balance everything while keeping the photos natural and vibrant.
To work around it, I used off-camera flash to brighten the scene, soften shadows, and neutralize the heavy pink cast from the DJ lights. This helped preserve skin tones and highlight the decor details without losing the party’s mood lighting.
After the shoot, I refined the tones in post—bringing back true colors while keeping that lively birthday vibe intact. The result is a clean, well-lit set of memories that truly reflect how fun Harriet’s night was.
