Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Cat Ramos Photo for my first studio shoot using creative lights. As I entered the studio, excitement and nerves filled the air. The blank canvas of the space was ready for my vision to unfold.
I set up my gear, experimenting with different lighting techniques. The key light created depth, while the fill light softened shadows, allowing me to capture my subject, Chesley Chlaire, in a new light. Adding colored gels transformed the atmosphere, infusing vibrant hues that brought a dreamlike quality to the images.
Encouraging Chesley to express herself freely, I captured genuine moments that told a story. Each click of the shutter felt exhilarating as I explored the interplay of light and shadow. By the end of the shoot, I felt a sense of accomplishment and inspiration, knowing this was just the beginning of my journey with creative lighting.
This experience not only expanded my skills but also ignited a passion for the art of lighting. I’m excited to discover the possibilities that advanced off-camera flash techniques will bring to my photography journey.
