Gamby and Sassy’s wedding day started with a quiet sense of relief. It had been raining the entire week, but on their wedding day the skies cleared, giving us the chance to move comfortably and enjoy the moments in between.
The ceremony was held at the Municipal Trial Court, a simple and small space with limited visual elements. I focused on dramatic lighting to isolate the couple and keep the attention on their emotions. During the ceremony, I used bounce flash angled behind to balance the light and include everyone naturally, knowing the space required wider moments.
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the clear weather and headed to a nearby park for the post ceremony shoot. Since it was a public place with a lot of visual clutter and people around, I focused on emotional tight shots to minimize distractions. I timed the wide establishing shots carefully to avoid people in the background, then moved into medium and close frames to capture details and connection. Natural light worked best here, keeping everything soft and honest.
The reception at King’s Table was relaxed and intimate. The venue was small but well lit, with natural light coming through the windows. I used off camera bounce flash to keep the atmosphere natural while still highlighting the couple and their guests.
Overall, the day felt calm, meaningful, and personal. Gamby and Sassy were relaxed and excited throughout, making the entire wedding easy to document and a joy to photograph.
